Derwent Lions Club were delighted to present a donation of £1000 to Louise Parker representing the Friends of Wheldrake Park. Construction of the new play park has commenced and local children will soon be able to enjoy the new hi tech features. Lion President John Newlove said ‘Wheldrake volunteers helped make our Santa’s Sleigh season the most successful yet and so Derwent Lions are delighted to contribute to such a worthwhile community venture.”
