A massive thank you to Ken Sutcliffe the President of Derwent Lions for bringing along this huge donation of water to Kitchen for Everyone York last night ❤️ Lots was taken but we still have lots left to be handed out at our sessions on Tuesdays, Saturdays and Sundays 😍
Ken and his team collected the water after Sunday’s Marathon and we hugely appreciate it. Water is being modelled by our wonderful team leaders Andy & Marie and the fab volunteers Sophie & Young Ellie along with Ken 💜💙💕

Note from Derwent Lions: It was our pleasure to help such a deserving cause. Two of our volunteers alerted me to an opportunity to make better use of the remaining unpackaged bottles from the race water stations that we operate. I had read in the press how homeless people were often dehydrated so contacted Jane Tomlinson’s Run For All to see if I could collect these unwanted bottles and donate it to a York homeless charity. They were very supportive and I was delighted to find that Kitchen for Everyone was ideally placed to distribute the water to those most in need.
